Preparing for LegalTech

So, every year, I attend the LegalTech event in New York.  I have NEVER attended the CLE portion of the events and once again do not plan on doing so.  It is not that the CLE courses are not educational or interesting, it is the fact that I am not there for that purpose (and the fact that it is FREE when you do not attend the courses).  This just happens to be the best opportunity to learn and shop the newest software/hardware available to attorneys.  To me, LegalTech is my flea market.
There are rows and rows of possibilities.  Thus not enough time to see the products and attend the courses.  I choose products.
E-Discovery

So, products it is.  Lets talk this year.  Obviously my focus on this event, which is being held on January 30-February 1, will be trial technology, case management, and digital discovery.
Currently, I am not a fan of e-discovery programs.  However, I will leave an open mind to be swayed and persuaded otherwise.  (As I did with the iPad).
The list of sponsors and exhibitors can be found at the legaltech site:  www.legaltechshow.com
Legal Tech should not be confused with Tech Show.  Tech Show is an ABA Law Practice Management event, similar in nature BUT not in location.

LegalTech = NY
TechShow = Chicago
My Location = NJ
I have compared the sponsors and exhibitors at both and the majority are duplicates. Therefore, this year it is LegalTech only.

I will post my observations after the event
